We are dedicated to achieving new heights in fundraising and we're looking for a Prospect Development Coordinator to play a vital role in our continued success.
As a Prospect Development Coordinator, you will be a key member of our Advancement Services team responsible for supporting the cultivation of relationships with potential donors and supporters. Your role will involve prospect management, report generation and distribution, data entry and maintenance, and other proactive prospecting activities. This position will maintain and improve the quality and depth of the prospect pool and overall pipeline of prospective donors and supporters of the university.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports for senior leadership and front-line fundraisers which are used to manage prospects, build portfolios, and, in general, support a metrics-driven prospect management system.
- Collaborate with fundraising teams to audit and enforce adherence to prospect management policies and procedures. Implements and executes progressive pipeline moves management, as well as portfolio development and optimization to ensure refined, focused, and balanced portfolios for gift officers.
- Identify new potential prospects through existing pipeline development strategies. Utilize various data sources and tools to assess prospect wealth indicators, philanthropic history, and other relevant data points.
- Track and assist in the maintenance of proposal records. Monitor progress toward fundraising goals to anticipate future prospect needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect data in Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge donor management system, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Conduct scheduled audits to identify and correct data errors that will affect portfolio reporting.
- Review, update, develop, and document policies and procedures for the utilization of Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge for portfolio management.
- Continuously review and assess the effectiveness of the organization's prospect management processes and make recommendations for process improvement to optimize prospect pipeline management, donor engagement, and fundraising outcomes. Stay informed of industry best practices and trends related to prospect management.
- Work closely with the advancement services team to manage and execute requests and projects to support advancement operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent education and work experience.
- Two years’ experience with prospect management, fundraising, prospect research, data analytics, or related professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education institution or nonprofit foundation.
- Demonstrated experience understanding data storage, information management, and data governance.
- A strong understanding of the role of prospect management and how it supports the efforts of a fundraising organization.
- Experience with CRM systems (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience a plus.)
Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000
