SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota - May 30, 2024 - The University of South Dakota Foundation & Alumni Association will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in its downtown Sioux Falls office space. The USD Foundation & Alumni Association renovated the third-floor space in the Commerce Center at 200 N Phillips Avenue in partnership with the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce. The ribbon cutting will begin at 4:30 p.m., led by newly appointed President & CEO Noah Shepard and USD President Sheila K. Gestring.

The USD Foundation & Alumni Association operates to advance USD through engagement and fundraising - connecting friends, alumni and other stakeholders to inspire pride, showcase value and invite investment of time, talent and financial resources in support of the university's strategic priorities. More than 25 percent of the institution's 75,000 living alumni reside in the greater Sioux Falls area.

The new office is in suite 303 of the three-story building, housing not only the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, but also Experience Sioux Falls, the Sioux Falls Development Foundation and Sioux Falls Sports Authority. The 4,600 square foot space features an open-floor layout, more than a dozen workspaces, state-of-the-art meeting spaces and river-view windows.

"We are thrilled to be back in downtown Sioux Falls, in a space that will sustain our growing team and allow us to meet our alumni and supporters where they are," said Noah Shepard. "USD's commitment to the Sioux Falls community has never been stronger, and moving the foundation and alumni association downtown is a natural complement to the USD - Sioux Falls campus and USD Discovery District."
