The University of South Dakota College of Fine Arts welcomes you to the Celebration of Excellence event October 22-24. Learn more about the alumni, educators and friends who will be honored, as well as the meaning behind the Hall of Fame and awards.

The Celebration of Excellence will be streamed as a Facebook event beginning 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23.

Friday, October 22:

  • 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.: Governor’s Biennial Exhibition, John A. Day Gallery, Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts
  • 3:00-7:00 p.m.: Registration table open, Main Hallway (west), Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts
  • 4:00-7:00 p.m.: Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts Grand Re-Opening, featuring our new Sculpture Yard and the renovated Wayne S. Knutson Theatre and Colton Recital Hall
  • 5:00-7:00 p.m.: Celebration of Excellence Reception, Main Hallway, Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts

  • 7:30-9:00 p.m.: Arena Theatre production, Arena Theatre, Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts
  • 7:30-9:00 p.m.: Orchestra Concert, Bailey and Kathy Aalfs Auditorium

Saturday, October 23:

  • 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.: Governor’s Biennial Exhibition, John A. Day Gallery, Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts
  • 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.; 6:00-7:00 p.m.: Registration table open, Main Hallway (west), Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts
  • 1:00-5:00 p.m.: Illinois State vs. University of South Dakota featuring the Sound of USD Marching Band, The DakotaDome
    • Award winners announced at halftime. Tickets to the game can be purchased at goyotes.com/tickets.
  • 6:00-7:00 p.m.: Celebration of Excellence Reception, Main Hallway, Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts

  • 7:00-9:00 p.m.: College of Fine Arts Recognition Celebration, Wayne S. Knutson Theatre

  • 2:00-3:30 p.m.: Arena Theatre production, Arena Theatre, Warren M. Lee Center for Fine Arts
  • 3:00-4:30 p.m.: USD Fall Choral Showcase, Bailey and Kathy Aalfs Auditorium
