About PIN

PIN is a student-led organization whose mission is to support USD Knudson School of Law students who volunteer their time working unpaid, summer internships with public interest organizations such as government agencies, nonprofits, indigent legal services and prosecutors’ and public defenders’ offices. PIN hosts an annual auction to fund fellowships for these students.

PIN Fellows have worked for many different legal offices, including:

• District Attorney’s Office, Colorado’s Fourth Judicial Circuit
• District Attorney’s Office, Collin County, Texas
• East River Legal Services
• Federal Public Defender, Iowa
• Minnehaha Public Advocate’s Office
• Minnehaha County State’s Attorney’s Office
• Montana State Office of the Public Defender
• Multi-Cultural Center
• Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office
• U.S. Attorney’s Office, South Dakota
• Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services
